Here we are, my fellow human beings, in the last month before the beginning of 2012: The Last of Years!
Of course, I don’t really believe December 21st will be The Last Day. If it was, that would really suck, wouldn’t it? Because it lands on a Friday. If the world’s gonna end, why can’t it happen on a Monday or a Tuesday, you know, after the weekend? I mean, seriously.
So the race is on to complete my revisions before the end of the world. Merrilee’s running an event that fits the bill quite nicely.

Her deadline’s the end of the year. Mine’s a mere 10 days earlier. Seems do-able.
P.S.: My good friend Brian kept submitting his works and has finally been accepted to a publication. Congratulations to you, sir!

Sounds like an exacting yet reasonable goal. I think that Merrilee’s project will help to get a lot of us more disciplined and motivated.
I now think that the main benefit of my recent acceptances is that I can say from personal experience not just that you can get published, but that you will.
