A poem: ‘Past Away’

A lost friend, a look again.
How Annie always tumbled in.
Lost beyond the camelsphere.
Need to find that piece of luggage.

Deities in windows, staring.
Played the harp of stingrays.
Time stretched, we carried pills.
You, me, and Ursa Minor.

Poured my wits upon a script
Drifting through a time-split.
Demon always being still.
Harboring ten-thousand tempos.

Though I thought I was just bored
And it was just curious.
Bubbled up before it’s gone.
I’ve broken through a breakthrough.

Stumbling through blogs about writing, I come across poetry—-a lot. One that particularly inspired me was Shadows of Scribbles. I felt the poetry found there is brilliant.
So … that’s mainly why I wrote this free-form poem today. That, and it’s a way to celebrate: Finals week is all done! And I never have to code another line of C++ again (if I so choose). I can take a deep breath, stretch my legs, and get working on finishing up my timeline.

More great poetry I’ve found:

  3. Thank you for the promotion of my blog Cirellio.

I love this poem of yours – it is so fantastic in the true sense of the word. I love the introspective nature of it, but also the use of places unknown and untravelled. I particularly love “Camelsphere”. Great stuff!

I would also recommend my friend Fenny at http://fenny-sblablapoetryblog.blogspirit.com/

  8. review #3! woohoo~so glad you also liked the poem ^_^. lots of personal imagery and memories in this, so I’m glad it meant something to you.

What on earth is the Society of Midnight Wanderers, anyway? Is it some sort of evil cult I should be aware of? *grin*
